I’m Laurie Joy,
and my passion is
inspiring and empowering
mamas of all ages, from all walks of life,
from everywhere on the planet

to live a life they deserve and love.

It’s time for moms to

and I can help your
mommy audience do

just that!

My son was two years old and I was a first time mother. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, proud and happy yet feeling very unfulfilled. I clearly remember walking into my bathroom that fateful morning, looking at myself in the mirror, and not recognizing the woman who was looking back at me, and right there and then I decided it was time to change. It was in that process that I grew to immense proportions, changed the way I lived, loved and learned and am now on a mission to share with other mamas how they too, can turn their shit show into their mojo!

I am a “Tell It Like It Is” mom entrepreneur with a passion for coaching, empowering and motivating moms to be and do more. And sometimes you may not like what I have to say, but I guarantee that you NEED to hear it!

I love to laugh and I like a well-made Caesar (the drink). I’m happily married and a proud mama to a little boy. I’m no different than most women I meet – I love a good massage, tropical trips with the family, and can’t stand clutter!

I’m a mama on a mission to empower and FREE as many moms as possible from a life less lived. I am honest. I am self-motivated. I love my family. I am fun and funny — like, freaking hilarious — and I am compassionate. I’m a freedom lover.

I am the owner of The Mama Mojo Movement where I empower mamas to step into their lives, wake the hell up, and start living again! I change lives! And the next one can be yours!

Official Bio

Laurie Joy is known as The Mojo Mama and owner of the Mama Mojo Movement. She is a proud wife and mother and hosts a bustling community of mamas supporting each other while they learn in the Mama Mojo Members’ Club. When she’s not supporting her mamas, you can find her sitting down with a glass of wine and reading a life-changing book under a cozy blanket, or playing LEGO with her 6 year old son and sharing nachos and a movie with her hubby of 11 years.

5 Things you may not know about me:

1. I inherited 3 turtles through marriage who lived in my laundry room for 5 years! Ha.
(I not-so-secretly loathed them).

2. I worked for 1 year on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as a Youth Staff Member! It was one of the best experiences of my life.

  • A little reminder to all the mamas out there who need to hear this today.
We all have innate talents/skills in us that make us great.
Take a minute or two today and think about yours, and be grateful for them. ❤️
  • #throwbackthursday to when I spoke on stage at Shine Live last September. After having attended this amazing event just one year before to speaking on the stage only a short year later! How times have changed. I ❤️ being on stage, it's where I belong & thrive. Interacting with a live audience is nothing short of extraordinary. But it's a process. Nothing I say or do on stage is done by chance. It's all planned and then I take time to read my audience. I have MANY tricks up my sleeve from being a trained dramatic arts teacher for more than 20 years. Just because you can run a biz, doesn't mean you can deliver a speech. #mombomb Thx to @chantellespeaks for crating such a great event to share my story at!
  • Here's today's #questionsinthecar which was motivated by Joe Roberts of @pushforchange ❤️
  • I literally could go on and on about this quote.

If you are worried about what other people say, then just stay in the status quo lane.
If you wish to live an extraordinary life, then get going with your goals and plans.

Start thinking about what it is that YOU want.

Start making those dreams come true.

Start by doing things weekly (to start) that move you towards those dreams.

Start telling yourself that you're worth it and that you're going to achieve them all. And then...BELIEVE what you tell yourself.

Fuck what other people think and say.
It's not their life, it's yours.

P.S. Don't worry, not matter what you do, they'll talk anyways. xo

  • What's your #1 way to keep the sun at bay? My boys call this my, 'and then there's Maude hat.' I used to be a sun worshipper but not anymore. No more sun on this face, please. And where we were vacationing the sun was HOT! #maudehat #seinfeldquotes

“Since the course, I feel like I’m back in control again.” “Laurie is a no-nonsense, no sugar coating it, tell it like it is coach. Before joining Mama Mojo my life was a real shit show – I was like a top – spinning all the time but not going anywhere! She taught me how to get organized, make time for myself in and organize my schedule. I then was able to find my passions again. Since the course, I feel like I’m back in control again – I am a work in progress but I now have a plan! I’m so glad Laurie helped turn my shit show into my mojo and I would definitely recommend her to moms of any age.”
